I took this on Mount Wellington in Tasmania. The scene reminded me of adversity, the trees and landscape endure inclement weather here, the flora and earth shaped to the will of the wind, temperature and snow. There’s a resulting beauty in adversity, the stillness of the pools of water at my feet are like gems, sheltered and hidden during my visit by the trees who bore the brunt of the wind.
